Isabella’s trip around Northern California continued yesterday with Mommy and Daddy headed to Napa for the day. After a brief stop at Target to feed Bella and pick up some baby related items, we headed to Domain Chandon. Beautiful grounds, with a scenic deck we used a coupon and enjoyed a 2 for 1 Prestige Champagne tasting each. After some pictures and getting situated, we headed to Yountville and Napa Style store and eatery and enjoyed a super yummy Panini and Caesar salad. Sitting in the gardens nearby we feed our baby, changed her diaper and then headed home. A really nice afternoon for Mom and Dad and of course Isabella slept through most of it.
Grandma’s touch
Yesterday we went to my Mom and Dad’s to go swimming, play around and then stayed for dinner. Once again little Isabella was a super sweet for Grandma and rarely put up a fuss or presented her with a difficult time. A great day out in the sun with Eli, Grandpa and I in the pull for almost the entire afternoon. Mom, Millie and Isabella stayed cool in the shade. Some yummy Papa Murphy’s pizza we brought over for a dinner and two kids asleep on the way home in the car.
Both Eli and Isabella slept very well last night with just a few times to get up to feed her and right back to sleep. Today has been yard work and laundry for me, and Millie and Eli are out running errands.
Once again, Isabella is sleeping soundly as the sun shines.
Her first 25 days
The first 25 days of being with our little Isabella has been simply wonderful. Incredibly tiring at times and full of new pieces of information and skill sets necessary to make her life easier. While we both thought we knew what we were doing and how we would do it we so quickly learned that she would be running the show and showing us how SHE wanted things done. From feeding, to car seats, to burping and outfit choices, Isabella is the queen bee around here in so many respects.
We are both so happy that each of us is home during this time to provide support, assistance and wingman skills to handle the events of the day. While I know either one of us could do this alone, oh would it be so much more challenging and exhausting.
I can’t get over how adorable and cute she is and how everyday a new gesture, facial expression or movement makes us laugh and smile. I would have always said having children was overrated but oh how wrong I would have been. While I do not at all, in any small way, want another child, I would not trade our beautiful little girl for anything.
Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.
