]]> http://sharkden.com/?feed=rss2&p=1784 0 Starting recovery http://sharkden.com/?p=1779 http://sharkden.com/?p=1779#comments Sat, 28 Aug 2010 20:53:29 +0000 admin http://sharkden.com/?p=1779 Well its been 5 days since I had surgery on my leg to deal with a very bad knee.  Open Wedge High Tibular osteotomy was completed on Monday afternoon.  A few days of extreme pain has subsided and now I’m convalescing at home with the assistance of my beautiful nurse M.  While the first night was just silly, its surprisingly reasonable to deal with as long as I’m laying down.  Crutches for 8 weeks is going to be hard on everyone.  Thankfully we have the support of so many family and friends.  .Pictures to follow soon. 

Even bigger news that tops the crazy leg breaking surgery to deal with a knee beyond repair and a patient too young for a knee replacement is the wonderful news the my love, my partner, the mother of my beautiful daughter Bella said yes to my request of her hand in marriage.

Fun family outing to the Discovery Museum at Fort Baker.  Really low key and excellent fun for the very small.  Our six year old was almost too old for most of it.
